Job Description

The Trauma Stepdown Unit is a Level 2 trauma center with a focus on providing exceptional post-operative and acute care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical interventions and those with neurological diagnoses. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Caring for patients requiring acute surgical intervention or post-operative care, including trauma and orthopedic surgery.
• Monitoring patients with neurological diagnoses and providing necessary interventions.
• Administering medications, including intravenous drips for various conditions.
• Conducting vital sign monitoring and telemetry assessments.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintaining accurate patient records using Meditech EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License.
• ACLS and BLS Certification.
• Experience in trauma or orthopedic nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of Meditech EMR is a plus.
