Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Job Description

The Progressive Care Unit is a 44-bed unit staffed by a team of 95 professionals dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Our team includes 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 HUC on both day and night shifts, with a patient ratio typically of 4:1 at grid and 5:1 stretched. Nurses in this unit play a vital role in delivering advanced care to patients requiring close monitoring and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Conduct neuro and spinal checks
• Perform C-Collar placement and apply TLSO braces
• Utilize chest tubes, PCA pumps, and IV infusions
• Manage lumbar drains and feeding tube placements
• Administer blood transfusions

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ACLS Certification
• BLS Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Neuro and trauma care experience preferred
