Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong assessment skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient status and administer medications as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments and document care in electronic health record.
• Provide wound care and assist with IV management.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Ensure safety and comfort of patients while adhering to established protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a progressive care unit or intensive care unit preferred.
• Competency in EKG monitoring and patient assessment required.
• Ability to float to medical/surgical units as necessary for patient safety.
