Labor and Delivery / OB Registered Nurse - NOC Shifts

Schedule

This position requires night shifts with 6-8 call shifts every 6 weeks, and may occasionally include day coverage. The typical schedule will not exceed 4 shifts per week unless mutually agreed upon with the OB Manager.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery/OB Registered Nurse to join our team. This role entails providing high-quality care to mothers and newborns during the labor, delivery, and postpartum phases. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a solid understanding of obstetric nursing practices and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during labor and delivery, including assessments and monitoring of the mother and fetus.
• Administer medications and interventions as per protocols.
• Assist with the delivery process, ensuring safety and comfort for both the mother and newborn.
• Provide education and support to new parents during the postpartum phase.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical care when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Obstetrics, and Postpartum nursing.
• Current MT nursing license or qualifying compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and intermediate AWHONN certification required.
