Job Description

The Seasonal Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) will provide comprehensive care to patients recovering from surgery. The nurse will work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients as they regain consciousness and recover from anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients post-operatively, assessing vital signs and overall recovery.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure a smooth transition from surgery to recovery.
• Respond to any complications or emergencies that may arise during recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PACU RN experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Prior Meditech experience is preferred.
