MRI Technologist – Contract Position

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 11pm EST; holidays, on call, callback per unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will efficiently operate the MRI machine, ensuring patient comfort before and during scanning procedures, while coordinating with physicians for timely results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for tests.
• Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience in MRI technology.
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) certification.
• GE scanner experience is a must.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred.
• Certification through the ARRT is highly desired.
• Must have Injection Certification.
• New York State Rad Tech license, must be willing to obtain this after starting.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
