Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position. The shift is Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotating call responsibilities. Weekday call is from 3:30 PM to Midnight, and weekend call is from 7:00 AM to Midnight on both Saturday and Sunday.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals. The technologist will play a crucial role in patient care and ensure the safe handling of radioactive materials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients.
• Perform imaging procedures such as HIDA Scans, PET scans, and MUGA scans.
• Monitor patient reactions and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain and manage the storage and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Preferred certifications include CNMT and ARRT in Nuclear Medicine.
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility.
