Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule

Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. No weekends, no call, no holidays.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Outpatient Clinic RN will work with the Colorectal Surgery team, providing clinical care in an outpatient setting. This position includes assisting physicians, triaging patient calls, and managing patient care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and taking vital signs.
• Telephone triage and medication refills.
• Supporting authorization for imaging and scheduling procedures.
• Assisting with minor office procedures and exams.
• Educating patients about their care and follow-up procedures.
• Performing high-level disinfection and maintaining exam room cleanliness.
• Collaborating closely with the assigned physician to manage patient clinical needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 1 year of experience in ambulatory nursing care, such as primary care.
• Must possess a valid compact RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
