Job Description

The Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit. The nurse will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure each patient's individualized care needs are met effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to nursing best practices and hospital policies.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with EKGs, glucose monitoring, and venipuncture.
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech system.
• Coordinate with unit staff, including clinical nurse coordinators, nursing assistants, and techs.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the shift.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid Georgia RN license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Med-Surg experience is preferred.
