Registered Nurse - IMC (Nights)

Schedule

This position requires a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking a competent Registered Nurse to provide routine and complex care in an Intermediate Care setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independence and awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care, managing contingencies effectively.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers about care and treatment.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only).
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
• RN License in the state of Texas or compact license is required.
• EPIC experience highly recommended.
