Job Description

The Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a dynamic environment. Nurses will be expected to work with a variety of patient populations, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in Medical Surgical Oncology, Ortho, and Urology.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor patients’ conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members for holistic patient care.
• Participate in educational opportunities to enhance nursing competencies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a Med-Surg or Telemetry setting required.
• Current NY State RN License required at the time of submission.
• AHA BLS certification required; CMSRN preferred.
• NIHSS certification required prior to starting.
• Experience with EPIC documentation system preferred.
