Urgent care hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM. Shifts vary across days and hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will function within the Urgent Care Department to assist patients and medical staff in an ambulatory care setting responsible for the overall operation of the clinic. The role includes maintaining skill sets, annual competencies, certifications, and participation in educational programs within the clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to ensure excellent quality of care and efficient resource utilization.
• Lead and direct clinic staff, ensuring efficient operations of all clinic aspects.
• Maintain medication inventory and supplies and ensure necessary quality control checks are performed.
• Document all care and services provided accurately and promptly.
• Oversee the opening and closing of provider clinics and assist staff as needed.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to support patients, providers, and clinic staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of urgent care experience within the last 2 years.
