Schedule

8-hour days (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), 5 days a week. Weekend, call, and holidays required.

Job Description

The Certified Surgical Technologist will function under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients. This role involves performing routine and delegated duties that align with the standards and policies of the hospital. The Surgical Technologist will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining a sterile surgical environment, ensuring that all surgical equipment is functional and safe, as well as assisting surgeons during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of surgical patients.
• Perform technical duties relating to scrub personnel.
• Maintain a sterile surgical room and ensure proper functioning of surgical equipment.
• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures.
• May precept new staff members as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Travel experience is required.
• Ortho and scrubbing experience is essential.
• Experience with Davinci surgical systems is mandatory.
• BLS certification is required.
• Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred or current New York State LPN license eligible.
