Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department. This role requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage a high volume of patients effectively. The nurse will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop care plans for patients in the emergency department.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and react promptly to changes.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Triaging patients and providing urgent care as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency department.
• Valid California RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only) or ENPC, NIH Stroke Scale.
• Experience with Epic electronic health records is required.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Preferred certifications include CEN and TNCC.
