Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

This is a night shift position, requiring 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. This role involves floating to similar units as required and covering weekends every other week, based on departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform bedside procedures including dialysis catheter insertion, thoracentesis, and incision & drainage (I&D).
• Monitor and manage patients with telemetry needs, providing effective nursing care in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize the Omnicell medication system to track and administer medications accurately.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have an active RN TN license.
• At least 1 year of experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele) required.
• 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR is mandatory.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.
