Job Description
We are seeking an experienced RN for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This 54-bed level III unit serves as a regional referral center for high-risk infants, specializing in very low birth weight preemies who require ventilatory support. The RN will work in a state-of-the-art unit providing critical care to neonates.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level ongoing care to critically ill and extremely low birth weight infants.
- Monitor and manage ventilatory support for neonates requiring intensive care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services, to provide comprehensive care.
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and perform critical procedures including blood draws and central line care.
- Educate families on care and developmental needs of neonates.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience as a permanent staff member with at least 3 years of NICU experience in a level III or IV setting.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications.
- No pending licenses will be accepted.
- Experience in teaching hospitals is preferred.
