Job Description

The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients. This unit supports advanced cardiac and open heart surgical programs in a Level 2 Trauma facility with a comprehensive stroke center. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar environment and possess the necessary certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage complex medical devices.
• Administer medications and perform interventions as per medical protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care options.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license with state or compact licensure.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Preferred two years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
