Registered Nurse - LTAC/Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are from 07:00 to 19:00, with varying days including Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in one cycle, and Wednesday and Thursday followed by Monday to Sunday in the next cycle. On-call duties may be required one weekend per month.

Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by employing the Nursing Process, adhering to the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The nurse will utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment to ensure the safe delivery of care, while also providing leadership, direction, and supervision to nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment skills in planning care.
• Supervise and direct nursing staff in delivering patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Delegate patient care tasks based on staff education and experience.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Skilled RN.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be from the American Heart Association).
• Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and central lines is required.
• Wound care experience is preferred.
• Current NC or multi-state compact RN license required.
