Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift 3x12

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN also supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.

Responsibilities

• Perform a comprehensive nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patient/family and the interdisciplinary team to identify education needs and goals based on assessments.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, providing direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to relevant care providers to ensure continuity and safety of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to the unit’s functioning through teamwork and effective communication.
• Maintain communication with nursing management regarding service needs for supplies and equipment.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested following the orientation period.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience preferred.

Schedule

This position offers a day shift schedule of 3x12 hours.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
