Sunday-Thursday, 10 PM - 6:30 AM; on call and callback as per unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology and certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred. Responsibilities include operating the MRI machine efficiently, making patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure, and coordinating with the patient's physician to ensure timely receipt of results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help alleviate their concerns.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the imaging tests.
• Document all procedures while ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience in MRI technology.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required).
• GE scanner experience is mandatory for consideration.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Injection certification is required for consideration.
• NYS Rad Tech license—must be willing to obtain it after starting.
