Outpatient Physical Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 6-month contract position, starting October 5th.

Schedule

This position requires a 5x8.0 schedule with 60-minute evaluations and follow-up sessions every 30 minutes.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patients’ needs, goals, and physician directions. This role encompasses the delegation and direction of therapy services for assigned patients and ensures the implementation of functional treatment programs to facilitate effective reintegration into community activities. The therapist will also engage in educational roles, aiding patients, families, students, and coworkers in understanding therapy’s significance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records in a clear, concise, timely manner, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and clinic policies.
• Provide care under valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in the development and supervision of student programs.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must maintain professional licensure and complete all state-mandated continuing education requirements.
