Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include delegating and directing therapy services for assigned patients while ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that promote an effective return to community activities. This role serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to create appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document all care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
• Ensure that care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment with supervision.
• Actively engage in professional development and continuing education activities.
• Adhere to the state's practice act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Demonstrate awareness of performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active state license required for practice.
