Registered Nurse - Med/Tele Unit

Schedule

NIGHTS - 12HR: 7P-7A. Available shifts are 36 and 48 hours per week, with a requirement of 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Candidates must also be willing to work at least 1 holiday during the contract period.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Med/Tele Complex Care Unit, which consists of 37 beds. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in acute medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Tele unit.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, interpreting data to formulate care plans.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care comprehensively using EPIC charting system.
• Assist in charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
• Be flexible to float to other units as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
• Two years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
