General OR Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

Job Description

The General OR Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for circulating and scrubbing a variety of general surgery cases, including Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, Minimally Invasive Surgery (DaVinci), Plastics, Endocrine, Pancreatic/Biliary, and Bariatrics. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for general surgery cases.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to provide high-quality patient care.
• Participate in on-call shifts, with a requirement of 4-6 call shifts per four weeks.
• Adhere to hospital policies and best practices regarding infection control and safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing for general surgery cases.
• Current South Carolina or multi-state RN license in hand at the start of the contract.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (must be AHA certified).
• Radiation badge required; provided by the agency.
