Registered Nurse - Med/Surg - Night Shift

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3 shifts per week, including 2 weekends.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Med/Surg unit. The ideal candidate will provide attentive care, make personal connections with patients, and include family members in care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with surgical and medical needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize a range of medical equipment, including IV pumps, telemetry, and EKG machines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation using the Meditech system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification.
• Med/Surg experience required.
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Skills in IV starts, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, as well as nasogastric and chest tubes.
