Registered Nurse - IMCU Night Shift

Schedule

This position requires a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, working a 12-hour schedule with a 4-day work week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 48-hour contract position with an ASAP start date.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with a patient ratio of 1 nurse to 4 patients. The unit consists of 16 to 10 beds, accommodating patients with various critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, and encephalopathy.
• Administer Heparin drips and other necessary medications.
• Ensure patient safety and provide high-quality nursing care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Current RN license is required.
