Med/Surg Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM. The shifts may be variable to meet operational needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in various units as needed. The role includes potential to float to units caring for patients with similar medical/surgical needs.

Responsibilities

• Delivering patient-centered nursing care in a medically acute setting.
• Monitoring and managing patients' health status, including ECG rhythm recognition.
• Performing assessments, administering medications, and documenting care in the electronic health record.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Adhering to organizational policies and procedures, including safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact license in hand at the time of submission.
• A minimum of 18 months combined permanent or travel experience in medical/surgical telemetry is required.
• Must possess current American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications, along with NIHSS certification.
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty required.
