Registered Nurse - Med/Surg/Tele

Assignment Duration

This is an 18-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 07:00 to 19:30. Weekend requirement is every other weekend, with flexibility needed based on unit requirements.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide compassionate care for patients in a Med/Surg/Telemetry unit, managing a diverse patient population including medical, cardiology, telemetry, and surgical cases, while also supporting ortho, neuro, gyn, urology, and trauma patients.

Responsibilities

• Utilize telemetry to monitor patient heart rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
• Perform IV starts and blood draws independently.
• Administer medications including cardiac drips as ordered.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and respiratory services.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; 3 years preferred.
• BCLS and phlebotomy certification required; ACLS and CPI preferred.
• Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Must have experience in telemetry nursing and Level 1 Trauma experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
