Registered Nurse - Postpartum

Schedule

This position operates on a 12-hour night shift (7pm - 7am), requiring weekend shifts as well as working on major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Postpartum department will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients during the postpartum period. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and possess strong clinical skills to support patient needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the postpartum setting to ensure patient comfort and recovery.
• Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being and report any significant changes.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including newborn care.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care practices and infant care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in postpartum nursing.
• Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications are required.
• Preferred experience as a traveling nurse due to the nature of the workload.
