Diagnostic Technologist - Outpatient

Job Description

The Diagnostic Technologist Outpatient is responsible for the positioning of the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot, or ankle for x-ray imaging. This role entails performing imaging procedures independently, operating X-ray equipment, processing images, and documenting them into PACS. The technologist will also provide basic patient care under the supervision of the clinic nurse, including managing vital signs, aiding in patient examination preparation, and assisting clinicians as required.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for x-ray imaging of various body parts.
• Perform imaging procedures without direct supervision.
• Operate X-ray equipment efficiently and accurately.
• Process and document images in the PACS system.
• Provide basic patient care, including obtaining vital signs and preparing patients for evaluation.
• Assist clinicians in various medical procedures.
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked area with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Float to Main Radiology as needed.

Schedule

This position operates on a 12-hour day shift, commencing at 8 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT).
• Current CPR Certification.
• California issued Fluoroscopy Permit.
• Current ARRT licensure.
• Experience with EPIC EMR.
• Previous traveler experience preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
