PACU Registered Nurse - Nights

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour nights (19:00 - 07:30) with required work on Fridays and Sundays. No Saturdays are required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated PACU Registered Nurse to join our team for night shifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong ICU or critical care experience and will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess post-operative patients' conditions, including vital signs and level of consciousness.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy as required.
• Assist with airway management and provide care for ventilated patients.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of Maryland or Compact License.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• 2 years of ICU or critical care experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
