ICU Neonatal Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position requires night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

As a competent ICU Neonatal Registered Nurse in a Level 2 NICU, you will practice independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of care. You will provide both routine and complex care, contributing to long-range goals and plans for your patients. The role demands continuous development in coping with clinical contingencies and managing patients' various needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current STABLE certification required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required.
• Current NRP certification required.
• Active RN License in the state of Texas or compact.
