Travel RN - OR Circulator

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days: 4 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with on-call requirements, including rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse (OR Circulator) demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and providing patient care in the operating room. As an integral member of the surgical team, the RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other personnel while adhering to regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper supplies and equipment availability for surgical procedures.
• Communicate effectively with families and update physician preference cards.
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases.
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the operating room.
• Maintain adherence to state nursing regulations, AORN standards, and hospital policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of OR Circulator experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross).
• Experience with robotics preferred.
• Ability to fulfill on-call requirements with 6-8 shifts per month, including weekday and weekend responsibilities.
