Respiratory Therapist - CRT or RRT

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist is either registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care to provide Cardiopulmonary Services. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for following protocols approved by the medical staff and department policy and procedures in order to provide timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
• Maintaining airways and managing ventilators
• Inserting arterial lines and intubations
• Conducting pulmonary function studies
• Performing cardiac and pulmonary stress tests
• Obtaining blood gases

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have NBRC RRT or CRT certification
• Must have a valid Pennsylvania RT license
• Must have ACLS & BLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Must be available every 3rd weekend and to work 2 Fridays and 2 Mondays in a 6 week period

Schedule

This position requires availability for an 18:30-07:00 shift.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
