Registered Nurse - Mother Baby Care

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care in the Mother Baby couplet unit. The RN will plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs while advocating for evidence-based practices in care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized care plans through ongoing assessments.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care effectively.
• Document care according to standards of practice and patient acuity.
• Support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule

This position requires a 12-hour shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a commitment to work 3 shifts every other weekend and 3 out of 6 holidays. There is no on-call requirement or float obligation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in postpartum nursing preferred.
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP.
• Scrubs provided in Navy Blue.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
