Registered Nurse - Critical Care (ICU)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend. Holiday policy requires working 2 of the 3 holidays.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes in a timely manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update patient care plans.
• Provide critical care including managing ventilated patients and administering IV therapies.
• Support and educate patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of acute care experience required.
• Active NJ or Compact RN license required upon submission.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, Stroke CEUs are required at time of submission.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
