CT Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Friday - Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM EST. On-call shifts may be required, averaging 2-3 call shifts per month, including holidays based on unit needs.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role requires coordination with physicians to conduct scans and maintaining accurate patient records within the EPIC system.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and verify examinations prior to scans.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to alleviate concerns.
• Insert IVs when necessary and position patients for scans.
• Document all necessary components in EPIC, ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility in accordance with department policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NYS licensure as a CT Technologist required prior to starting.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Two years of experience, specifically within a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with Siemens or Philips equipment preferred.
