Occupational Therapist - Travel Position

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday and one Saturday per month; holidays required.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist facilitates the development and rehabilitation of physically disabled persons, maximizing the functional status of hospitalized patients. Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, implementing, and modifying age-appropriate treatment programs, participating in discharge planning, and performing administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform Occupational Therapy evaluations and treatments.
• Attend care plan meetings and develop care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Maintain documentation in MedHost EMR.
• Pursue professional growth and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Occupational Therapy.
• Current BLS certification.
• New Mexico state licensure required.
• Acute care experience preferred.
