Professional Staff Nurse - Night Shift - 12 x 3

Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and integral member of the care delivery team. This role involves setting standards for the quality of care, managing patient care activities, and establishing collaborative relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Professional Staff Nurse is committed to enhancing patient satisfaction and improving care through evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties in accordance with established competencies and behaviors.
• Actively engage in quality improvement efforts and communicate opportunities to management.
• Utilize research and evidence-based practices to enhance clinical care.
• Employ critical thinking to identify and address patient clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues.
• Create comprehensive documentation to facilitate caregiver communication.
• Provide effective patient and family education to navigate care transitions.
• Maintain productive working relationships and demonstrate accountability for actions.
• Adapt to change and engage positively in the care environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required; BSN preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Compliance with PA Act 31, 33, 34, and 73.

Schedule

This position involves a 12-hour night shift (12 x 3) schedule, working 3 days per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
