PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position with AM shifts from 06:00 to 18:30, including 3 × 12-hour shifts per week.

Job Description

The PACU Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for the recovery of patients from general and moderate sedation anesthesia. The role offers a supportive environment with no call, weekends, or holiday shifts. The RN will manage a patient ratio of 3:1 in pre-op and 2:1 in recovery, handling 30-50 cases per day.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer medications and manage IV lines as per protocol.
• Provide care and support to patients and families during recovery.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2+ years of PACU and ICU nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• All essential ICU skills needed.
