Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool

Schedule

This position requires 12-hour shifts on days, from 0645 to 1915, scheduled for 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation. Please note that there is no guarantee of hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Float Pool will provide comprehensive nursing care across various medical and surgical units. This role requires flexibility and ability to adapt to different patient populations and care settings. Initial orientation will cover each specific unit to ensure competency and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care across multiple departments, including the Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally the Cardiovascular Unit.
• Utilize Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and manage chest tubes as part of patient care.
• Monitor patient status and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to professional nursing standards, policies, and regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-10 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Active RN license in the State of Hawaii is required before the start of the assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required; PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC are preferred.
