Travel Medical Technologist (ASCP)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are nights from 11 PM to 7 AM, including five 8-hour shifts. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required.

Job Description

The Medical Technologist will function as a laboratory generalist responsible for performing various tests across multiple areas including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood bank, and phlebotomy. This position will require the individual to float between two laboratories as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, and blood bank.
• Perform phlebotomy duties as required.
• Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of laboratory results.
• Adhere to all safety and quality control regulations and procedures.
• Coordinate with laboratory team members and other healthcare professionals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2+ years of generalist laboratory experience is required.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) is preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is a must.
• No call required for this position.
