Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical - Nights

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift position from 7 PM to 7 AM, requiring availability for weekends and holidays as needed. Scheduling options include every other weekend or arrangements fitting your schedule.

Job Description

The role is for a Registered Nurse on a 33-bed medical-surgical floor equipped with 16 telemetry monitors. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1 to ensure quality patient care. While Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to ortho, bariatric, and cardiac patients.
• Efficiently monitor patients using telemetry and recognize changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and implement patient care strategies.
• Document patient care activities and communicate effectively with team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS certification is preferred.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required.
