Radiation Therapist

Job Description

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for independently performing a variety of radiation therapy treatments, simulations, and treatment planning in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the physician. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to assess and interpret data reflective of the patient's status and provide age-specific care. Proficiency with a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and ARIA EMR is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiation therapy treatments and simulations
• Develop and implement specialized treatment plans in accordance with physician instructions
• Assess patient data and provide appropriate care based on age-specific needs
• Utilize 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electrons treatment modalities
• Manage treatment setups for all sites within a comprehensive cancer center
• Treat approximately 25-30 patients per day

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience as an imaging technologist/specialist
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification in Radiation Therapy (T)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a Radiation Therapist

Schedule

This position may work on rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
