Registered Nurse - IMU (12 Hr Nights)

12-hour night shifts, weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The position is located in an Intermediate Medical Unit (IMU) with 18 beds. The Registered Nurse will provide care for typical step-down type patients, including those with post-MI with sheath pull, ADHS, postop vascular issues, GI bleed, and DKA. The RN will be responsible for titrating drips including Nitroglycerine, Neo, and Cardene, and will be expected to monitor telemetry for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the IMU.
• Titrate medications including Nitroglycerine, Neo, and Cardene as per protocols.
• Monitor telemetry and read strips to assess patient heart rhythm.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Experience with typical step-down patients preferred.
