Job Description

The Pathology Assistant will provide PRN coverage to support vacations, leaves, and other staffing needs. This role is vital in ensuring the seamless operation of pathology services.

Responsibilities

• Assist pathologists in the preparation and examination of tissue specimens.
• Perform gross examinations and assist in the documentation of findings.
• Ensure accurate labeling and processing of samples.
• Coordinate with laboratory staff and other medical professionals as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of an accredited Pathology Assistant program.
• Prior experience in a pathology lab setting is preferred.
• Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is a plus.
