Acute Care Radiology Technologist

Job Description

The Acute Care Radiology Technologist provides critical healthcare services through X-Ray imaging to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role involves performing X-Ray procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic exams as requested by healthcare providers.
• Conduct fluoroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures alongside radiology providers.
• Assist in US guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrocentesis.
• Educate patients regarding preparation and post-care for radiology procedures.
• Assist with fluoroscopically guided PICC placements.
• Perform C-Arm fluoroscopy exams in the operating room as requested.
• Document necessary information for exam interpretation, reporting, and archiving.
• Participate in the quality improvement initiatives at the hospital.
• Educate radiography students and new hires on relevant diagnostic and operative guidance exams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of a CAHEA accredited Radiology program or equivalent.
• Current Montana Licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• One year of previous radiology experience, including clinical internship.
• Competency in advanced imaging techniques such as C-Arm in OR, trauma, and portable radiography.

Schedule

This position requires overnight shifts with a week-on, week-off schedule starting Wednesday nights.
