Registered Nurse - Acute Care

12-hour night shifts, including weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our acute care unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with various medical conditions, working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient load with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6-8 during nights.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Titrate drips as required, excluding cardiac drip titration.
• Support the nursing assistants and ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatment.
• Assist with activities of daily living and ensure patient comfort.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required; new travelers are welcome to apply.
• Valid RN license and BLS certification are mandatory.
• Experience with common diagnoses such as pneumonia, UTI, AMS, GI bleed, and alcohol withdrawal is preferred.
