Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 18:30 - 07:00. Must be available every 3rd weekend and work 2 Fridays and 2 Mondays in a 6-week period.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing Cardiopulmonary Services in accordance with protocols approved by medical staff and department policies. This role includes delivering timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
• Maintaining airways and ventilator management.
• Inserting arterial lines and performing intubations.
• Conducting pulmonary function studies.
• Administering cardiac and pulmonary stress tests.
• Performing blood gas analyses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have NBRC RRT or CRT certification.
• Must have a valid PA RT license.
• ACLS & BLS certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association).
