Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position with options for extension based on performance and availability.

Schedule

Night shift schedule of 3 12-hour shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care during the winter coverage season. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in medical-surgical telemetry and be able to deliver compassionate, competent nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' conditions, documenting changes and data accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management, medications, and treatment plans.
• Participate in daily rounds and contribute to patient care meetings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS certification to be obtained prior to start.
• One recent reference from a manager or supervisor in the specialty required.
